While some grilling enthusiasts might see it as sacrilege, there is a way to be able to grill year-round, even indoors – electric grills.
Of course, using an electric grill you won’t get the smokey flavor that is often important when grilling, but some feel that the convenience of an electric grill outweighs the shortcomings. But while you won’t run the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning even when using it inside, there are some dangers with electric grills that you should be aware of.
It is important to be careful about the surface that you put the grill on. Depending on the way the grill is made, it can get very hot, but even if you think it shouldn’t get too hot underneath, it is always better to be safe than sorry. You should also inspect the cord of the grill before every use, especially if you store it in a garage or a basement where rodents could get to the wire and chew on it. A short could pose a fire and electrocution hazard.
